I seem to remember that sometime last summer Neelu and EWE got into a tremendous kerfuffle with a kidney specialist who they accused of trying to use the pretence of kidney failure to perpetrate a "mental health fraud" against the old chap as a prelude to assassinating him. I think Neelu told the patently deceitful quack that EWE didn't have kidney failure but any high readings could be explained by the fact that old Edward had just taken up swimming the channel or something but while he was in a lot of water he wasn't drinking enough of it. Failing to pacify the fraudulent physician they high tailed it out of the hospital before the men in white coats arrived.

Jump forward nine months and we find our equity lawyer .... in Broomfield hospital awaiting for the third in a series of kidney dialysis treatments.

Now one might think that would have convinced Eddie and Lou that the doc had been right all along (actually one wouldn't think that at all). They now accept that Eddie-baby needs dialysis but that doesn't mean that the PTB have abandoned their shenanigans, not a bit of it.

Ted and Ved discuss how they had private blood tests which showed he had a level of urea in the blood of 37 and 39 (somethings) and that as the normal level is between 3 and 7, Neelu (the expert pharmacist) calculates means he was 3 or 4 times above normal.

However on admitting him the hospital tests showed a level of over 45 only falling to 37 after the first two dialysis sessions. Now that could be explained by one of the sets of tests being inaccurate or it could be that the hospital are inflating the results for nefarious purposes. Which do you think the dynamic duo choose?

That's right. According to Sir Edward the purpose of inflating the results is to show that the urea levels are "in a confused state" and ... stick with me here ... that could be used to show that all of Edward is in a "confused state" and we're back to the mental health fraud again.

Yes and no, we discussed earlier how EWE was struck from the roles and following this dark path long before his kidney failure occurred. It maybe excaserbating the issues already there, but the issues already existed.
