EWE is a willing participant. He is responsible for a huge amount of the Neelu/Paterson/Devine shite they post. As a human being I hope he gets proper advice but he is an adult. He is culpable for his own outcomes.

That was my point, he was always pulling this crap. So, it may be worse now due to his failure to treat his medical condition, but he was a twit long before that.

Neelu has given a bit of an update on Eddie the Equity Lawyer in conversation with her pal Ramola D (whose permanent simpering expression I find incredibly annoying).

As we knew Edward was living at Neelu's house (which I think was actually her sister's house?). It was her that drove him the 26 miles rom Redbridge to Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford for treatment because he's "acutely, critically ill" (bit of change from there being nothing wrong with him except not drinking enough water).

So why not take him to a hospital that's a bit nearer? Well you see "London was a dangerous place for him because Guys Hospital, Queens Hospital and Sussex Hospital" all identified that dear old Ted was in need of mental health treatment too and as we know that's simply a "fraud" to facilitate his assassination. As it turns out it was all for naught as Broomfield simply "copied the mental health frauds" from the other hospitals which Ramola points out is done under the guise of accessing the patients medical records - the bastards.

Anyway, now EWE is having his dialysis at Broomfield he has asked Chelmsford City Council to "find" him somewhere to live in their area. CCC have pointed out that he has no connection to Chelmsford and that he should return to the borough that he was last living in i.e. Redbridge. In a telephone call to a Housing Officer in CCC, Neelu tries to claim that Eddie hasn't lived in Redbridge since last June but the Housing Officer points out that since then he has been living with Neelu (in Redbridge) and suggests that it is she that is making him homeless. Obviously this enrages Neelu who counters that Ed was just visiting her (for 9 months).

It also appears that the staff at Broomfield Hospital have suggested to EWE that he would be a lot better off if he cut ties with Neelu and that Chelmsford Council are treating Edward as homeless but have told Neelu that she no longer needs to be involved.

There's a lot more lunacy on the video that I just can't but my favourite line is Neelu asking Ramola "what would the world be like without people like me and you?"

She should have put a ring on it.

On the plus side for her, her council tax arrears for 2020 will be 25% less.

This actually raises some interesting points about homeless laws, where you are "living" and where you can apply for housing. EWE was living at Neelu's sister's which is under the control of Neelu. CCC are entitled to say he had a place there before getting dumped in a hospital in their area, so why can't he go back? Does Neelu think he is now "contaminated" or similar and wants him out? My understanding is that the Redbridge person is wrong, Neelu can chuck him out and Redbridge have to find him accommodation. But if EWE has come to normality he might be able to claim in CCC because of the problems of going back to Neeluland.
Thoughts?

On one level this is easy. EWE does have to apply in the local authority that he has been made homeless. This could be Chelmsford if that is were he is being treated as being of "no fixed abode". However. he has been living with Neelu (although not in the biblical sense) in Redbridge for at least three years, so it is she who is rendering him homeless if we are to believe her.

The issue of where EWE should apply for housing reminds me of the old Massachusetts laws regarding the care of "the poor/paupers". Such care was the responsibility of the various cities and towns, which would either run a City/Town Farm, or board the indigents out with families. The issue was, frequently, which city or town had the responsibility of caring for someone; and often, there was a dispute over who got stuck with the financial burden.

Let's say that a woman was born in the town of "Oceanside", on Cape Cod. As a teenaged, unmarried woman, she was sent to "Atkinson", 80 miles west of Boston, to care for an elderly aunt; and after the aunt died, she went to live with another family, and care for the elderly members. And so it went, until the woman (originally) from Oceanside could no longer care for anyone, and required care, at the public expense, for herself. When she went to the Overseers of the Poor in Atkinson, she was told that she had no "settlement" in Atkinson, since she never owned property or paid taxes there, and had not been the daughter or wife of an Atkinsonian who had done so. She was told to go to Oceanside for her care -- a town where she had no living relatives, and which she had not seen since she left, 60 years previously. She refused to go to Oceanside, when the Oceanside people came to collect her; and in all likelihood, Oceanside sent money, to Atkinson, to pay for her support there.

It wasn't easy even for the town's own poor. In a town like Atkinson, everyone generally knew everyone else; and if you had to "go on the Town", everyone knew it. They know that you lived at the Town Farm, or with a family as a boarder; and the perception was often that the person was "on the Town" because of their own moral failings, or lack of foresight in planning for their "elderly years". Those people who were sent to live with families often found long hours of work, scanty food rations, and uncomfortable quarters awaiting them. More than a few people committed suicide to avoid the disgrace.

I've worked in homelessness.

Basically the councils will say Neelu can't just throw him out, as some form of notice should have been given.

In addition the councils only have a very limited amount of social housing available - and temporary accommodation is very expensive for them. So to get their help you have to be able to show a local connection through family/work etc. Otherwise the bigger cities just get loaded with people travelling in to use their services.

Does anyone know where he was before Neelus?

Maybe but it only needs to be a letter with a bit of notice in it. A week if he's lucky.
What would be more amusing is if EWE was saying he can't go back to Neelu's because of abuse/bullying by Neelu hence applying to CCC. Which, if I have it right, would be a valid reason for not going back under current rules.

Assuming he paid rent, notice to a lodger (as opposed to a tenant) is the period of the rent.

I can see a few problems here.

We still don't know if the property has been dealt with in probate. Unless she was bequeathed a share, Neelu has no stake in the property and it thus not able to create a tenancy or lodging agreement. I suspect his actual status is no fixed abode.

And as for ownership. It all depends on the mortgage. If her brother-in-law and sister were joint tenants, then he automatically gets the whole property. If they were tenants in common then she could give her share to whomsoever she wished. However, previously Neelu alleged another of her mortgage frauds being perpetuated on her sister, so it could be that the bank owns it.

I very much doubt that Eddie's arrangement with Neelu is in the slightest bit a formal one so I don't think that formal notice will be required. All she has to do is to say that she wants him to leave. Anyway I don't think that's really the issue. Chelmsford City Council like all local authorities probably have enough of a problem with homelessness without people asking to be housed on the grounds that the hospitals near where they have been living are trying to assassinate them and it's more convenient not to have to travel for dialysis. Neelu is trying to help by claiming that Edward never really lived with her and was just visiting (that's a lie of course).

The Housing Officer at Chelmsford is pushing back by telling Neelu that having provided a roof over Edward's head for the last 9 months it's a bit rich for her apparently to be refusing to do so now he is in even greater need, thus making him homeless and then having a go at Chelmsford Council for not housing him on demand even though he has no connection with the area except that is the location of the hospital that Neelu chose to dump him on. As is so often the case with Neelu and her ilk, they are happy to accuse every public servant of corruption, tell them that "we don't require your services" ... until they do ... and then woe betide anyone who doesn't jump when Neelu tells them to.

Just as an aside, in her cosy chat with Ramola D, Neelu did say that she was concerned that the "they" would continue to try to perpetrate the "mental health fraud" against Eddie once he is released from hospital and that if he came back to live with her it could end up with her door being broken down again "... and I don't want that".

I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that Eddy was broke and living hand to mouth. Of course I also don't understand where/how Neelu is coming up with her money to afford her little escapades either.

I'd love to have been a fly on the wall during EWE's conversation with Chelmsford.

'So Mr Ellis, you were unable to access medical treatment in London, where you previously resided, because of a massive conspiracy to harm you by the authorities. Do I have that right?'

'I'm asking Mr Ellis, thank you Ms Berry.'

As has been noted, local authorities are pretty tough when doing homeless application assessments, due to the chronic housing shortage, especially in London and the South East. So much so that they have an unenviable record of poor and unlawful decision making.

'Nearly Legal' has a comprehensive collection of cases, if that sort of thing interests you strangely.
https://nearlylegal.co.uk/category/hous ... /homeless/

It would of course be a rather amusing irony if the decision in EWE's case was flawed (unlikely on the facts given) as his determination to pursue his own interpretation of the law would render him incapable of remedying the breach.

How dare you suggest that EWE is impecunious!

As Britain’s foremost fictional lawyer he’ll command a huge fictional salary with massive illusory disbursements and generous imaginary retainers from each of his non-existent clients. Probably able to access funding from Illegal Aid.

Neelu can’t decide if EWE is better off outside the health system or in dire need of it. We hope he doesn’t croak but the charge will be murder on her lips if he finally shakes that seven. Let’s remember who it was that consistently prevented what were clearly very concerned medical professionals from gaining access to Eddie to assess his needs/offer proper treatment.

I recall that he was even being moved between addresses by the Princess in order to avoid these gallant renal specialists.

His condition must be bad if he’s finally realised that he needs and is seeking their help. I was wondering whether there had been some sort of falling out - Eddie has always given a c/o address of wherever Neelu was living - in between sprints to the local library to dash off some fraud filings - maybe she’s had enough of his freeloading ways and is hoofing him out; could be he’s left the top off the toothpaste tube once too often.

We never really get to know EWE’s story as he is overly focussed on matters fraudulent of every hue. Maybe, having been dumped miles outside the M25 like a stray dog he’ll file something about eviction frauds and we will know more.

We have noted IIRC that his condition has been bad since the turn of the year.
I further suspect that if he doesn't go back to somewhere like Neelu's he's going to be shuffling between hospital and homeless emergency accommodation for the foreseeable future. Not a good use of resources and not good for his health. He only needs to miss one appointment or walk out of one accommodation and he'll be lucky to be found alive. I really do fear for this guy's life at the moment. And that's without the risk of a 70 something? with failed kidneys getting COVID19.

Uremic poisoning is not pretty and he is sounding like a classic case. He also may have finally reached the state where he is not capable of taking care of himself and needs to be in a controlled living situation.
