I'll bet a pound to a pinch of shit that if you ask them to define "British culture" they can't do it or if they can it'll be, by sheer coincidence, a version of British culture that is no more than a reflection of their own personal political beliefs. The chance of it coinciding with my own vague, woolly and fluid definition is ~zero.

To be more fair to them than they deserve I've never heard anybody give a definition of British culture that would be any different. I don't really know what it is and after all this time I doubt if I ever will.
