Johnny Liberty at it Again?

Post by AFTP »

Now he’s associated with GBDS.
Does anyone know of it?

He is still selling his “sovereignty” BS.
Isn’t that a violation of his probation?
(Unless he’s of it by now)

Funny, his bio doesn’t mention he spent 2 ½ years in jail for defrauding people.

But wait! The linked web site describes this guy as:
. . . .the founder of the Institute for Communications Resources (ICR) and Waking Giant News (WGN), a global resource center committed to creating a context for freedom and consciousness emerging worldwide...

an inspiring educator and keynote speaker...

a true renaissance man with many diverse talents shaping new thought on the leading edge of social, political and economic change...

a powerful and compassionate influence on millions of people...

a project manager, consultant, strategic planner, educator, visionary, researcher, manager, and specialist in new paradigm business development....

Or, as he was known during his stay in the facilities of the U.S. Department of Justice:

"prisoner number "68248-065"

http://www.bop.gov/iloc2/InmateFinderSe ... &x=76&y=16

Lock him in a cell with the other Olympic-class blowhards, like Dave Champion, Edward Lewis Brown and Peter Eric Hendrickson.

Rule of thumb: Avoid giving money or anything else of value to people who use terms like "visionary" and "inspiring" and "renaissance man" to describe themselves.

Here is another indicator. His resume

http://www.gbds.us/clientuploads/gbds_m ... Resume.pdf

Every year is accounted for from 1967 (GED/High School) to 2005. Then in 2005, 9 separate items come to a halt and nothing new happens until 2007 forward.

Hmmm. It is almost as if something happened...

He left the prison sentence off his resume too.

More of the same -- this, from the IRS web site:
Hawaii Man Sentenced in a Tax and Wire Fraud Scheme

On May 30, 2006, in Honolulu, HI, John David Van Hove, also known as Johnny Liberty, was sentenced to 27 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release for his role in a tax and wire fraud scheme. Van Hove previously pleaded guilty to one count of obstructing and impeding the administration of the tax laws and one count of wire fraud. As part of the sentence, Van Hove was ordered to pay $400,000 restitution to defrauded investors from Hawaii, Washington, Arizona, and New York. Van Hove was also ordered to pay restitution to the IRS based on income he received as a result of producing promotional materials for the Institute of Global Prosperity. According to court documents, Van Hove offered clients schemes for hiding income and assets from the IRS, including the use of "common law trusts" to conceal ownership and control of assets and income; and the use of offshore trusts with related bank accounts in which assets would be repatriated through the use of a debit card. According to information presented in court, Van Hove offered to set up international business corporations (IBCs); entities that had no independent economic reality and did not represent actual ongoing business concerns. As alleged in his indictment, Van Hove lured clients and their money using a series of misrepresentations and false promises, including offering rates of return of up to 25 percent per month, or 300 percent per year on their investment money. According to information produced in court, most of Van Hove's clients received no profits and lost the entire amount they invested.

From Johnny's Project Manager and Marketing Director gush:
John David Van Hove ... has traveled extensively
Does it count if you're shackled to the seat?
Throughly his travels he has networked with key people
I suppose "networked" is one way to put it.

Is he? I see that the scammers ("Law Research Group") who host the morons (Sooey) are doing so, but I don't see that he is.

If he were doing so, I think his probation officer might well be interested.

Somewhere on here I saw he still sells the “Global Sovereign’s Handbook” and does seminars.
