which places them in the "turnip" family
Or worse.

I'd follow the one guy (of the 4 TUC morons) that I found in Miami-Dade records that actually had a mortgage with BoA that corresponded with the motherTUCer's BS payoff "checks," but I lost track of the info. Manny something or other. In any case, it'll be at least 6 months before he goes into foreclosure.

I still can't figure out why it's only BofA.

There isn't any logic behind trying to scam just one bank. A more rational approach would be to scam as many as possible in the hopes that one would slip up and actually hand them real money.

And where is the attorney - Paul B. Woods? According to the package:
"All funds to purchase the property is overseen by The Law Offices of Paul B.
Woods, P.A., 9400 S. Dadeland Blvd., PH 5, Miami, FL 33156, serving as
Chief Master Trustee (escrow agent) of all funds received for the purchase
of real estate in a designated TUC financial institution."

My own bet is that it comes down to the name. Bank of America probably somehow triggered a misfire in their brains to think that this was somehow more than a name and was an indicator of...something?

I was thinking that BOA is just more convenient. Or perhaps that's where most of their victims have their mortgages.

Or, more likely, Magic 8 Ball indicated that "All signs point to yes," but the bubbles obscured the "yes" and made it look like "BOA".

I have wondered that myself.

I did some poking around a couple of weeks ago, and his name is connected to TUC in several different ways, and also appears in connection to some business and professional associations in ways that suggests he is not necessarily a hack.

So why hasn't he loudly and publicly distanced himself from this slow-motion train wreck?

There *might* be issues of client confidentiality, but client confidentiality doesn't obligate a lawyer to sit by in silence as the lawyer's name is publicly linked to a criminal enterprise.

It's also possible he doesn't know what's going on, but it's highly unlikely that he hasn't yet been contacted by either law enforcement or a news media.

So it's largely inexplicable.

Maybe they have retained him without his knowledge.

You mean sent him their funny money as a retainer, to which his office staff probably sent it back with a letter saying that he's has not been retained, and then promptly forgot about the whole incident?

He does appear from the 6 minute mark until the end of Part 1 of TUC's video -

and at the beginning of Part 2 where he refers to TUC as "we"-

With reference to TUC's claim to have Paul B. Woods, a real estate specialist, as their legal advisor.

I sent an email to Paul B. Woods (pwoodslaw@gmail.com), asking if he was TUC's lawyer and did their antics have his approval, and I received back this reply:
No, they don't have my approval for their recent activities or to keep me on their website regarding their lifeline property program.
