You have it, they'll come after it but...

Post by Judge Roy Bean »

You already knew that, so....should anyone be surprised?

IRS, Justice Target Undisclosed Assets In Swiss Accounts

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co ... 27_pf.html
At the Beverly Hills office of criminal defense lawyer Edward M. Robbins Jr., anxious new clients are showing up with an unexpected problem.

The clients put money in Swiss bank accounts, where it was supposed to stay secret. But now those depositors fear the U.S. Internal Revenue Service and the Justice Department will gain access to their bank records, Robbins said.

"They're coming in from the cold. They're nervous," Robbins said.
Just more evidence that when wealth is threatened, it can afford to seek shelter.

The ironic thing here is Ed Robbins used to be a US Attorney prosecuting these types of cases - and one of the current US Attorneys is Nathan Hochman, who used to defend these type of cases.

It's getting to be you need a scorecard to keep track of the players...

one of the current US Attorneys is Nathan Hochman
He's not a US Attorney, he's the Assistant Attorney General, Tax Division. He's also a FOQ (fan of Quatloos).

And Robbins is at the firm where Hochman used to practice before joining the DOJ.

My eyes went blurry there for a second and it looked like you said, "So, will they keep smoking each other's joints?" Good thing I did a double-take.

They may be close friends but i think they can refrain from stroking each other's joints in open court. Dunno about chambers, though.
