Re: Hendrickson indicted
Hendrickson has no possible defense except the Cheek good-faith mistake of law defense.
It is virtually impossible to assert a Cheek defense without taking the stand.
If Hendrickson takes the stand, the prosecutor can ask him about his prior mail-bombing conviction.
Game over.

As a Michigan resident, if this is likely to occur, I am going to have to take time off to head over to the courthouse to see it in person. I wonder if I will see our good friend Mr. Bulten there?Dr. Caligari wrote:It is virtually impossible to assert a Cheek defense without taking the stand.

Re: Hendrickson indicted
This is great news and I can't wait to see all the gyrations and verbal machinations that will accompany this from PH and the Crackheads.
I've noticed that PH hasn't posted anything in over a month on the LH forums and wonder if there is any connection.
Now, when is the 6th Circuit going to squash his appeal in the refund suit?

The 6th Circuit already ruled against Hendrickson, although I believe he still has a motion for reargument pending.Now, when is the 6th Circuit going to squash his appeal in the refund suit?

If anything, it could be a short-term boon for Hendrickson. He could do the Larken Rose-style "The IRS has dared to indict me! Witness the sheer power of CTC as I defeat them in court!" thing.

Re: Hendrickson indicted
The indictment announcement has hit the LH forum:
http://losthorizons.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1100
I'll be printing the page to PDF when it changes so I can have something to laugh at when he wipes it from the forum.
Edit: Actually, it's hit twice: http://losthorizons.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1101

Re: Hendrickson indicted
I did manage to PDF both threads that disclosed Pete's indictment.
In the thread entitled "Hendrickson indicted?" - a user called "smudge" in Ontario, California simply posted a link to the DOJ announcement.
A user called "Tparty76" in Ohio responded with:
Gosh, it's too bad losthorizons started having technical issues -- right at this very difficult time for Pete and his followers.

In the other thread, the one entitled "Has anybody else seen this? Hopefully Pete will chime in." - a user called "pdy" also posted the link to the DOJ announcement, without comment in the body of the post. I didn't see any responses.This sucks so bad. I hope Pete chimes in to let us know how he feels about this. This really sucks.

1. Quatloosian ghouls going over to gloat;
2. Crackheads logging in to bemoan their fate;
3. Admin (i.e., Hendrickson) working to erase/suppress any negative messages; or

Yes. Even when the site is working, it takes a long time to respond when I try to click from one page to another.LPC wrote:It seems intermittent, and could simply be an overload of the server caused by:

Re: Hendrickson indicted
The Hendrickson indictment. Pretty garden-variety, ten counts of filing false docs per 26 USC 7206(1), felonies that carry 3 years and $100K fines.
