"Dr." Suzanne Gudakunst Gets Death Threats!

Post by Doc Bunkum »

We know for a fact there's no shortage of weight loss scams making the rounds on the internet, but Dr. Suzanne Gudakunst should be in the running for top honors in the annual Slim Chance Awards "Worst Diet Promotions of the Year".

In case you aren't aware of it, she's the one with this headline...

Lady Doc Gets Death Threats for Revealing TOP SECRET Fat Loss Secret to General Public

"A new breakthrough secret is all you now need in order to forever shed countless pounds, stay healthy, and add many years to your life!

A lady doctor from Arizona has blown the lid off the best-kept secret in weight loss ever discovered -- and this has the whole diet food and drug industries turned upside down and in nothing less than a torrential uproar...."
yada, yada yada.

But Dr. Suzie has added an interesting new twist to her quack weight loss cure.

She sets up fake sites loaded with meta tags with her name and 'scam'.

So if you try to conduct some Google research on the good 'doctor'/chiropractor and her highly implausible claims, as you likely would, you come up against a wall of puppet sites that say 'Hell yeah, I know it looks too good to be true but we checked into it and the whole thing's completely legit.!!!!!

example: http://drsuzannegudakunstexposed.com/

Interesting marketing strategy.

As an aside, basically what she's selling is an affiliate program that equips you with the total wherewithal to start pimping Dr. Suzie's revolutionary secret also. The hub of the operation is that Doc Suzie will supply you with an all-in-one selling kit. You buy the kit, you sell to the gullible. See this link:

Dr Suzanne Gudakunst Health Biz IN A Box Work at Home Based Business

BTW, if you still don't believe that what she's pushing is pure hog wash, I'll save you the $57 it'd cost you to find out. You can read her book for free on this link:

http://www.topsecretfatlosssecret.com/d ... ite3-6.pdf

I hope the good "Dr." doesn't mind me putting up that address.

If it's scams she wants associated with her name, then I'm happy to oblige by making this post. :)

BTW, Doc Susie, you might want to take a look at some of the claims your affiliates are making. Such as this gem...

"So powerful is her secret that she's able to reverse diabetes, rid illness altogether in people suffering from cancer (linked directly to poor diet and overweight factors), as well as an elimination of an entire spectrum of serious and otherwise life-threatening diseases.

Nearly 100% of all her case subjects were told in the alternative by "conventional doctors" that they either had just months or years to live, or they would never live a life anything resembling remotely a "normal" existence — yet after applying Dr Suzanne's treatments saw a complete contradiction to others doctors' prognoses."

Lady Doc Gets Death Threats for Revealing TOP SECRET Fat Loss Secret to General Public

I know some organizations that might take a dim view of those claims.

It's yet another miracle weight-loss program. She reassures you that, if you're a fat pig, it's not your fault. It's not that your lifestyle has too many calories going in and not enough going out. No, no, no. It's the nasty little parasites in your gut that are the culprits. She doesn't explain exactly how they do that, but they must be bad since she has so many disgusting pictures on her site. And, yes, it's sold as an MLM too.

Look all the way down at the bottom of one of those pages. See that blurry print, almost impossible to read since it's just about the same color as the background? Well, it basically tells you to ignore all the hype above it.
the information, advice and instruction from same are provided for educational purposes and general reference only; and are not intended to be a substitute for medical, fitness or dietary advice or counseling.
Oh, really? You sure don't get that impression from reading all the BS. What is all the crapola about the nasty little parasites if not medical advice? Continuing:
Therefore, you should consult your own physician and/or mental health professional regarding your individual physical and mental health needs before undertaking this system, or any other plan, diet, exercise, or fitness program.
Guess you can't say this anywhere on a site like this except in tiny unreadable print.
Results on this plan may vary according to individual efforts and/or other factors beyond the control or expertise of the creator.
And, since the "creator" is a chiropractor, all of this is beyond her expertise. So, if you get no results at all, don't be surprised.
We want you to understand and acknowledge that your sole and exclusive remedy with respect to any defect in or dissatisfaction with the site is to cease using the site.
So, if you should develop the galloping uglies and die, all you have to do is stop using the site. I don't think this is enforceable.

Nice find, Doc.

Not only will "Dr." Suzie sell you the secret of getting rid of your lard ass for $57(you can save yourself the $57 by following the link I gave above), but now she's peddling autos.

(Wonder if there's some kind of connection there?)

Gaaaaa! I went to that site and tiny Dr. Suzanne comes walking out and starts gibbering!
Good God Man, are you trying induce dropsy of the brain? You know, I've wondered what one does in the 4 to 5 years it takes to become a doctor of chiropractic? Perhaps they use the time to think up schemes, no? A note about the chiropractor. The initial consult tends to include an X-Ray study on the spine where the doctor inevitably sees "subluxations" which are to be treated with manipulation which will cause good "energy" to flow down your nerves and make you all better, however; one seldom if ever hears of the doctor taking further films to show or check on the state of these misalignments of the vertebral bodies. A person may draw his or her own conclusions.

Tomás - not every chiro is into the woo. I know a couple who know where they can help and where they can't, and limit their practices to the former. Those ethical practitioners can alleviate a good deal of pain in their patients, until their bodies heal themselves. I have no problem with them.

Our friend Suzanne isn't one of those - unless, of course, it is all a put-on. The more I see of her stuff, the more it looks like one. As you put it, a little Suzanne gibbering. A "conspiracy to keep you fat". "Disgusting Plaque and Horrible Little 'CRITTERS' Living in Your Guts!" "I want you to think of me as your 'guardian angel'." It's all so over the top ridiculous that it must be a parody.

And then there are the earnings claims. From an email she sends to prospective marks:
**VERY IMPORTANT!! ---> Look just below to see how easily you can get $1OO cash emailed to you up to 56x a day!!
$5600 per day? Close to $2M per year? That's just for starters:
I literally get $1OO bucks emailed to me over & pver again to the tune of around 43O-49O times daily -- averaging for me about $45,OOO a day!!
She makes $45K per day - about $16M per year - and she needs your few bucks? While it is always possible for someone to own property through a nominee, Georgia real property records show that she lives in a condo townhouse she bought in 2004 for $140,000. Such modesty for someone of her means. She also needs an editor who knows the difference between "0" and "O" and that "pver" isn't a word.

Who could believe this sh*t? It's gotta be a joke.

Believe me, Wes, it only keeps on getting better and better with this wacko nut case.

Our friend Suzanne - unless, of course, it is all a put-on - must also be the most paranoid person I've met in a long time.

Who Wants This Lady Doctor Dead?
– and Why?

from an e-mail she sent out...

"In what is perhaps the most shocking announcement made in some time regarding the diet and health industry, a lady doctor has just released what some authorities are calling the world’s “Top Secret Fat Loss Secret!”

The woman doctor, whose name is Dr Suzanne Gudakunst, has really upset the major food & drug industries, as well as weight loss manufactured food companies.

So valuable her SHOCKING findings and PROVEN results are, that she’s now just released her simple and easy-to-do system under the aptly titled: “Top Secret Fat Loss Secret!”.

And what may be the BIGGEST “Shock” of all is this horrifying fact:

Dr Suzanne has received death threats for simply making
her secret fat loss solution available to the general public -

and from what law enforcement investigators believe may
be insiders in the weight-loss/diet food manufacturing and
weight-loss drug treatment industries!

One federal law enforcement official (who insists on remaining nameless) said in confidence:

“It’s no shock to us at the [agency name withheld for security
purposes]
that this lady doc has received so many threats on
her life
as food and drug companies stand to lose potentially
billions of dollars by the release of her new breakthrough
secret for losing weight.”

When asked if she feared retaliation from pharmaceutical and weight-loss food manufacturers, she said almost too hopefully…

“I wish they would do so especially in public because to get
fired upon for this would demonstrate more than ever that I
must have done something very, very right … as anyone
with common sense would see that the only reason they are
in business in the first place is because being overweight as
a population only serves to make them even richer … and
what I’ve done is going to free masses of people from being
slaves to them for good! - even many millions.”

So despite the continued threats, Dr Suzanne is more on the ball and out to ruffle as many feathers as she can with her New “TOP SECRET Fat Loss Secret!”

Like most scammers, the good "Dr" Suzanne has learned to keep things general. Once you get too specific, people can check up on your claims. Can't have that. So keep it to the "critters" (I actually prefer "cooties") in your "guts", and how much money the mark can make by selling the plan to get rid of them.

On her site, though, she does mention three particular "critters". I thought I'd get to know them better. After all, how much slimier than "Dr" Suzanne could they be? So, folks, allow me to introduce you to paragonimus westermani (maybe half of the way down her home page), schistosoma haematobium (just below it), and oesophagostomum apiostomum (just below the others).

P. westermani (more commonly known as the "lung fluke") is a parasite which is transmitted by undercooked freshwater seafood. Infections in humans are overwhelmingly concentrated in Southeast Asia. While there have been cases found in the U.S., virtually all are from immigrants or travellers from there. See here for more information.

S. haematobium (more commonly known as the "blood fluke" - I guess that "Dr" Suzanne likes flukes, such as the possibility that her stuff will do anything other than lighten your wallet) is one of the parasites which cause schistosomiasis, one of the better-known of the parasitic infections. This species does not infect the intestines, but rather the urinary tract - making it somewhat difficult, as "Dr" Suzanne puts it, to "poop them out". It is a significant health problem in much of Africa and the Middle East. It is virtually unknown in the U.S. See here for more information.

Finally, o. apiostomum is also a parasite, a member of the large nematode family. One of "Dr" Suzanne's seriously ugly photos shows an o. apiostomum infection, and is lifted (without attribution, of course) from this site focussing on tropical medicine. The same authors who printed the photo note that "These worms occur in West and East Africa, Brazil, Indonesia, the Philippines, China and less commonly, in central and southern Africa". They are virtually unknown in the U.S. "Dr" Suzanne's photos are of the colon of a Ugandan.

So: she names three parasites, all of them almost never seen here. Nonetheless, they cause us all to be overweight. It's a miracle!

Hint to "Dr" Suzanne: just keep telling the marks how rich they'll get. Being specific just makes the lies easier to identify.

Doc B. wisely noted,
Tomás - not every chiro is into the woo.
Yes Doc, I agree. In fact my personal Physician is a D.O. and I know several D.C.s whose ethics are impeccable, however; I get very disappointed when I see someone using his or her hard won credentials in aid of an obvious attempt to defraud the very people they have sworn an oath to protect. Pardon me, but I seem to have mounted a rather high horse and need to dismount. There we go. Now good luck and Happy New Year to all.

I don't think too much slimier. She and Kevin Trudeau would make a dandy tag team.

Anyways, for a little more in depth "scientific" research why we get fat...

Emailer 2

Dr Suzanne discovered that harmful crusty "plaque" builds up over the years in all of us - and which is the direct result of harmful chemicals, preservatives, pesticides, etc. deliberately placed in perhaps every food on the market (much of which is now suspected as being carefully and intentionally done so that people will continue to get fatter and thus sicker, and in order to make the food & drug companies richer!).

The result: This harmful plaque is responsible for your weight gain because is BLOCKS your body's natural ability to absorb proper nutrition -

>> Your body thinks it's starving so your 'hypothalamus'
adjusts your metabolism to burn food much, much slower in
an effort to store food - thus making you even more and
more fatter than even before!

So it makes sense that if and when you REMOVE this unwanted "garbage" from lacing your 'insides,' you will naturally start dissolving the fat and "stored chunks of lard" that disfigure an otherwise more attractive and healthier frame and sexier body.

As if this 'plaque' goop weren't enough, Dr Suzanne identified multitudes of specific species of "parasites" (i.e., little worm-like "critters" -
some which have 'fangs' but no eyes) living inside nearly 99.964% of all people's small and large intestines in the United States alone, and about 92.36% of people on average worldwide.

These parasites excrete
(meaning they take a CRAP inside YOU!) a jelly-like "SLUDGE" they coats your insides and which is very, very harmful and extremely TOXIC!

Well, there you have it folks, from the good doctor herself.

The reason you're fat is because all these nasty parasites - some which have 'fangs' but no eyes - are taking a dump in your intestines.

Live and learn.

Ah Wes, Sorry to miss the quote...TT

So the Lard Lobby is out to waste Dr Suzanne? Or is it the Metabolic Mafia? Forces of Fat?
Anyway, it sounds like Doctor Gudakunst needs to get with the Pathologists at the MEs office and
do a little postmortem time. You know, have a look-see of how the body works and what's inside. It is helpful to remember that for a myriad of reasons dissection, or autopsy, was forbidden in the cultures from which much "new age" theory spring. For instance, Chinese medicines were especially developed to deal with life forces and to dismantle a corpse would keep the spirit from being presented to it's ancestors intact. Well that was then and these days we can look inside you without taking you to pieces and as most people over 50 are aware, the GI department has a marvelous "cootie" catcher for detecting bad ju ju in the colon. Unfortunately, medicine is still mysterious and scary to enough people that they will try anything but the direct approach to a problem. I am not for killing Dr. Suzanne, but dying her a bright Koolaid orange color might slow her mustang down...)

Oh boy.

I think we may all have been duped.

Doing a little research, I'm beginner to wonder if Dr. Suzanne Gudakunst really exists outside some copywriter's imagination. I want to thank Louis Edwards over at Ninja Reports who turned me on to this and was wondering the same thing himself.

It appears that Dr. Jon Cohen of "Get Google Ads Free" fame and Dr. Suzanne Gudakunst are somehow linked. You've probably read about this old codger who is a "retired medical doctor and apparently found the secret to Google free ads". (A real person by that name certainly wouldn't put their name on a scam like that, for sure.)

So starting with a whois search for Get Google Ads Free! shows they're hosted on the IP 67.192.123.228.

Doing a reverse IP lookupsearch, (a reverse IP domain check takes a domain name or IP address pointing to a web server and searches for other sites known to be hosted on that same web server) shows dozens and dozens of other fake scam sites - (85 currently) - some active, some not.

Here's the current list: 85 domains hosted on web server as 67.192.123.228..

Among the list you'll find:

topsecretfatlosssecret.com
topsecretcarsecret.com
– A site that promises to cure your cancer (cancerpreventionmadeeasy.com)
– A miracle diabetes cure at diabetescontrolmadeeasy.com

... and dozens of other bewildering sites.

If you check some of the health sites, Dr. Suzie appears on them, pimping a host of various health products, such as http://topsecretcure.com that promises to cure 98% of all sicknesses and illnesses.

Mind boggling!

A lot of these sites are fully set up but dormant - just waiting for some copywriter to come up with the appropriate BS.

Seems most of these scams are branded under "Web Business Secrets LLC".

So are they? Well, maybe somebody on this forum with the resources can answer that one.

But whoever is behind it, it appears for now that Dr. Suzanne Gudakunst and Dr. Jon Cohen are just fictional characters.

I think we have the right person. Here's why: I have access to WestLaw public records nationwide, which is quite accurate and complete. The chiro from Georgia is the only person by that name in the nation to have a professional license. Her middle name is "Holly". A nationwide persons search turns up only three: our GA chiro, someone from Erie, PA with no middle initial; and one from Onsted, MI. The date of birth of the last one is Dec 1974, making her about the age of the woman in the video - but she is listed as living with her parents, and this is probably an old listing. That's it - those are the only "Suzanne Gudakunst"s in the country. The only one with a professional license of any sort is the GA chiro - who was licensed in 2002, again making her the right age.

More: Gudakunst Chiropractic, the P.C. for the GA chiro, was dissolved at some time since 2004. The receptionist at her former office says she is no longer there. We know that there is no AZ MD by that name, and the corporations she lists in Scottsdale - Dr. Suzanne Gudakunst, Inc and Ask Dr Suzanne, Inc - according to the AZ Corporations Commission do not exist.

Either we have the right person or this is a case of identity theft - the worm scammer just took the name. That doesn't seem likely - why do that to a real person who can blow the whistle? Why no hue and cry, then, from the real Gudakunst? All it takes is a simple Google of her name to come up with hundreds of ripoffs - and not a single "Hey, wait a second!" The ninja stuff is interesting, but inconclusive.

Yes, once you get too specific, people can check your claims.

One person who did was Elissa L. Pratt-Lowe, former research associate with the University of California at Davis, the author/co-author of over a dozen articles published in scientific journals, and a freelance writer on several fitness forums.

In “Beauty and the Bleccccch!”, she takes a critical look at some of "Dr." Suzies claims, in particular the little "cooties" you refer to. She notes...
"About half way down her site (it’s a looooong scroll…), Dr. Suzanne has helpfully posted an illustration of a parasite life cycle + an accompanying caption. The parasite is Paragonimus westermani – sez so right there on the pic. It’s a suitably chilling name for something living in your guts, isn’t it?

Ummmm…not really. The “informal” name for Paragonimus westermani is “lung fluke.” I’m not sure how a diet program designed to clear out your colon will have any effect on something living in your lungs – but I’m sure Dr. Suzanne must know what she’s talking about.

Or does she? Here’s the caption for the pic:

“Life cycle. Infection with the adult worm is acquired by the ingestion of raw, poorly cooked, or pickled salmon, trout, perch, pike, whitefish, grayling, ruff, eel, etc., harboring the plerocercoid larvae. After five or six weeks, the larva matures to the adult worm. Both eggs and proglottids are passed in the stool. The eggs develop in 2 weeks, and hatch to become ciliated coracidium larvae, and are ingested by the first intermediate host, the copepod. The copepods, containing the procercoid larvae, are ingested by fish, the second intermediate host, contains the plerocercoid larvae.”

Damn, that’s a mouthful. Bet it doesn’t make a bit of sense to you, either. But it does to me…this was covered in an epidemiology class I took in grad school. This caption is describing A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PARASITE: Diphyllobothrium latum – the fish tapeworm. She even provides the link for the text, so you can see for yourself.

The caption and pic don’t belong together at all. But the life cycle illustration on the page she links to is pretty dull, while the Paragonimus pic is in color and is much prettier. So why not put the two together? Who’s going to bother to check?

The photo of bladder tissue infected with Schistosoma haematobium is just as deceptive. Do schistosomes infect human bladders? You betcha they do. But this parasite isn’t found in the US at all – so unless you live in Africa, Southeast Asia, or the Caribbean, you don’t have a whole lot to worry about.

This is pretty lame - and totally unnecessary. Dr. Suzanne’s sales pitch is just a collection of random, scary stuff about parasites designed to creep you out and keep you from thinking critically. It’s really not hard to get it right…if you know what the hell you’re talking about. Honestly, you’d think a medical doctor – especially one who wants to be YOUR doctor - would be a little more scrupulous about her “facts.”
For sure, whoever is writing this stupidity, hasn't taken the time to check the nonsense they're spewing out.

But then again, who cares? All that matters is that people believe it's true and keep sending in their credit card #'s.

FDA has been aware of her for quite a while.

Unfortunately their enforcement process is almost as slow as the IRS and, as long as the person at the top of the food chain puts enough disclaimers in the advertising, there's very little they can do.

Yep, good article. In my post above, I focussed on how the worms that "Dr" Suzanne blames for Americans' obesity are extremely rare in America. Cynical as I am, it didn't occur to me that she doesn't even bother to check that she has accurately identified her worms. MLM merchants think very little of their marks.

We should note that, having identified the source of the problem, "Dr" Suzanne is sufficiently public-spirited to market the "cure". She brags in an email yesterday, "After my pre-launch of Lotus Purity Detox Cleanse just a few days ago supplies are going fast!" I'm sure they are.

As the labels show, your $88 gets you one month's supply - on a yearly basis, then, the stuff costs $1000. For that, it oughta be something good. Well, it's not. Of the "Colon Cleanse", 1750 mg of the 2400 mg dose is magnesium hydroxide, more commonly known as "milk of magnesia". Now, there's an exotic ingredient straight from the Amazon, right? You can buy it by the gallon at the corner drug store. Then there's the 350 mg "proprietary blend" featuring such Amazonian rarities as rhubarb root, aloe and fennel seed. Then there are the three -aki herbs, including the one they misspell "huritaki". Nothing rare or startling here.

The "Fiber Cleanse" is just very expensive Metamucil. Did you know that Metamucil has been around since 1934? Read the ingredients yourself. I can certainly believe that if you take all this stuff you might as well schedule a colonoscopy for the next day. Except that "Dr" Suzanne wants you to do this every day. Blech. For no health reason at all - and with serious potential consequences, such as dehydration and depletion of minerals such as potassium.

I'm not gonna go into all of the ingredients in the "Liver Cleanse". I do ask, though - what evidence is there that healthy people need such a thing, even assuming that this stuff would do so? I'll answer, too - none.

Finally is the "Parasite Cleanse". Wait a second - I thought "Dr" Suzanne's position was that one just "pooped them out". Well, anyway, check out the ingredients that supposedly cleanse the parasites - they're mostly from your spice cabinet. Clove, turmeric, black walnut - what proof is there that any of these are effective? If they were, would parasite infections be the huge problem they are in parts of the underdeveloped world? A parasite infection is a serious problem. This sort of thing, if actually intended to treat one, is seriously irresponsible.

But then, we know it's a scam.

All I'm going to say on that subject is that the liver is one organ you don't want to monkey around with.

If you've ever seen a family member on their death bed with cirrhosis of the liver and the accompanying jaundice, well, it's not a sight you forget soon.

Uh, you're on Dr. Suzie's mailing list, Wes?

You took one for the team and gave her an e-mail address to keep abreast of her latest scams?

If so, you're a brave soul.

On that nastydirtymoney.com site there's some dude by the name of Martin Lewis out of
Perth, Australia who claims to have "... already made $322.21 this past week and I'm only at module #2!"

His e-mail is blacked out, but it doesn't take much of a genius to figure out that it's martinlewis@gmail.com. I sent him a letter telling him I was really excited and ready to order, but I wanted to make sure everything was legit first before I did. Haven't heard back from him yet.

I see one guy on his blog reviewed the book and spilled most of the beans on what the whole deal is about:

Get Nasty Dirty Money Into Your Pocket

Nasty Dirty Money Review 2

... where he goes into more details.

Which raises an interesting question.

Earlier in this Dr. Suzie thread, I gave a link to the site where you could download Suzie's e-book for free. I also did that on a fitness forum I read. That thread was deleted because the owners said they didn't want to face any potential legal action.

Excuse me?

Is there anything "illegal" about posting the link to where you downloaded an e-book?

Actually, I think it would be great to receive a real legal notice from a law firm representing the owners of the site. In that way, you could find out who they really were!
