Calvin and Hobbes quote of the day

"Isn't it sad how some people's grip on their lives is so precarious that they'll embrace any preposterous delusion rather than face an occasional bleak truth?" (Calvin)

What did the Calvinist say after hitting his thumb with a hammer?

One of my favorites involving Calvin only:

It is Halloween.

Calvin (with no costume) has a an empty bag in his hands. He is standing in front of a door.

The caption from inside the door: "What are you supposed to be, kid?"

Calvin responds: "I am a resource consuming, underachieving child with no goals or ambitions who has been raised by television".

Calvin walks away with a bag full of candy and says, "Yes, I am scary".
