US tax fraud ring arrested in Israel
Tax refunds for US Federal prisoners were transferred to banks in Israel.

Israeli police arrested today 7 suspects, among them 6 Israelis, for alleged involvement in massive tax fraud in the US.
The fraud is estimated to be on the scale of tens of millions of dollars.
The arrests were made by the Israel Police National Fraud Unit, according to IDF Radio (Galei Zahal).
The arrests were made after FBI notification.
The ring was allegedly run by a US citizen. The US Citizen filed for tax refunds for Federal prisoners, and transferred the funds to banks in Israel.
The suspects will be brought this afternoon to the Tel Aviv Magistrates Court in order to extend their remand.
