The first of the three is the largest. Apparently, though convicted, the convict is still in Vegas. I wonder if he is fighting extradition to Connecticut.

As law enforcement fires up its scare machines against tax evasion, there have been two cases already posted at the Connnecticut DOJ site with guilty verdicts.

Question is what took so long coming down on this mason? There is a lot more money to be had by government in a waiting game with interest, penalties and the principal taxes owed.

Actually no. This is one of the things that annoys me about tax issues - by the time the DOJ gets around to putting a stop to the scheme, the perpetrator has spent, distributed, concealed or otherwise disposed of their assets and there is little or nothing left to grab, especially when he or she is wrapped up in a criminal case and finally sentenced.

Ordering a felon to pay doesn't mean he or she will ever pay.
