My son is running for State Rep. up in western Massachusetts; and one of his platform planks is the legalization of marijuana, on the premise that prohibition isn't working and that it's far better to regulate and tax it as we do with alcohol. He doesn't smoke the stuff anymore, though.... He almost certainly won't win, but he is hoping to push the incumbent and likely winner in his direction.

I think the tax-n-regulate tactic will work, but if I still think it stinks. "Legalizing" pot them slapping a prohibitive tax on it while regulating it so it can't be sold commercially is a major copout. Anything more than alchohol has is too much, and that's too much as it is.

Smoke 'em if you got 'em!

p.s. Never smoked the stuff, probably never will, but it's none of my business (or yours) what someone else is smoking.
