DC Meeting? (I know, wrong forum)

I thought I'd put this here first because many people don't read the general forum. Are there plans for a Quatloos meeting in May? I'll be there for the ABA conference and would love to meet up with the DC folks. PM me or post here about another meeting.

I'll move this to the general forum once it gets read a little bit here.

I will be also be in DC for the ABA Tax Section's May Meeting. The Friday or Saturday (7th or 8th) would be best for me. The Tax Section meetings are at the Grand Hyatt.

Unfortunately I'll be at the other ABA meeting in Philadelphia. Wish they would have kept it in DC this year.

I'll be staying at the renaissance downtown. I really don't know D.C. that well, so any suggestions on a good downtown place or something accessible via the metro? Also, the 7th or the 8th?

The Renaissance Hotel, 999 Ninth St., is one block from the new Convention Center, and equally close to the Mt. Vernon Sq./Convention Center metro (subway) station, also a healthy walk to Chinatown and the Verizon Center where there are many restaurants and boutiques. So you should be convenient to a good many rendezvous (including the restaurant where the DC area Quats met about a year ago). Also a somewhat longer walk takes you to Union Station, where there are more restaurants and boutiques.

May 7th is a Friday. The Spy Museum is at 800 F Street, a couple of blocks from the Gallery Place metro stop. I'll be there (unless someone objects).
