Gee -- David is active in Colorado, and these people are in Alabama. Not only that; but announcements like this are quite common in the world of legal reality.

As usual Harvey neglects to give us all the facts. This judge looks to be 85+ so either he's very old or has had a hard life. The other two judges retired a while ago the article doesn't give specific dates, but the governor hasn't replaced them yet because of budget issues. The states Supreme Court have asked him to hold off.

The article makes no mention of a federal prosecuter, and these were state judges, I thought Maritime Law was soley federal jurisdiction.

He was part of the Restore America Plan. I suspect he's drumming up support for that move since the governors of the States did not resign after the arrest of their bonds and oaths.

This has something to do with that I suspect.

Let's see...no governors have resigned like he promised. The only thing he has to show for it is two (out of how many thousands) very old judges retiring to spend their remaining days with their family. MAJOR VICTORY!!

Word on the street is that this maritime lien accepted redemption for valued certificate bonds that David cooked up is going to cause a MAJOR political upheaval in early November this year. I have not found the birthdates of these judges (probably in Martindale-Hubbell) but news reports of their retirements show, from the dates of their graduation from law school and the like, that they are all into retirement age. Very probably they can now make more money in private practice or in teaching then they could as judges.

The judges' retirement is being touted as a victory for a "maritime lien" against the entire Houston County (Alabama) Court system. Houston County, Alabama, is the SE corner of the state, adjacent to Florida and Georgia. If you look at a map, you'll see that anything maritime seems to be very unlikely.
