So, is Hendrickson locked up tonight?

Post by Gregg »

I was away from the internet all day and have been wondering if he's safely standing tall behind bars or did Harvester and the Grand Juries get him out of it?

Your concern is duly noted, filed, folded, stamped, sealed with wax and affixed with a thumbprint in red ink, forgotten, recalled, considered, reconsidered, appealed, denied and quietly ignored.

One can fervently hope so.

According to www.bop.gov the answer is "no" as of this date and time.

And in another thread, someone posted the information that Hendrickson is scheduled to report to the Federal Bureau of Prisons on June 29 (Tuesday). On the contempt of court thing, as of mid-afternoon on this Friday, June 25 I've seen nothing indicating that he's in custody yet. Nothing on Doreen yet, either. Time now is 5:35 pm Central (6:35 pm Eastern).

EDIT: Our colleague Dezcad published the info on the June 29 date here:

Nothing on PACER as of 6/26, so we're probably going to have to wait until Monday or Tuesday.

And it might be time to start thinking the unthinkable: Is it possible that Warrior Pete has caved in and filed non-"CtC-educated" returns?

Are you locked up tonight?
Is that cell door closed tight?
Are you sorry you went CTC?
Does your fantasy stray,
To a land far away--
Where the law's what you want it to be?
Three cheers for the Lesser Evil!

Tell me Pete, are you locked up tonight?

Let's try something good and loud...
oi oi oi oi oi oi oi oi oi oi oi oi oi oi oi

See me ride out in the sunset
On your monitor screen
Out to get all I could get
From my evasion scheme
Morons to the left of me
Clueless to the right
I ain't got no gun
I got no knife
I don't have no fight

(Chorus)
Cos I use
C.T.C.
Got me in my plight
C.T.C.
Now I'll lose the fight
T.N.T.
Got a diaper-load
T.N.T.
Watch me Implode

I'm dirty, dumb and mighty unclean
I'm a Wanted man
Public Enemy Number One
Understand
I screwed out my daughter
They'll lock up my wife
Lock up my cell door
That's going to be my life
This dunce is going down
My plan was so unsound

(Chorus)

(Guitar Solo)

C.T.C. oi oi oi
C.T.C oi oi oi
C.T.C. oi oi oi
C.T.C. oi oi oi

Blowhard Pete

(sung to the tune of "Young at Heart" by Carolyn Leigh & Johnny Richards)
(imagine this as sung by Frank Sinatra or Tony Bennett)

Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you
If you're Blowhard Pete.
For it's hard, you will find, to be narrow of mind
If you're Blowhard Pete!

You can go to extremes with impossible schemes.
You can cry when your schemes fall apart at the seams.
And life gets more ex-cit-ing with each pass-ing day.
'Cause jail is either where you are, or on its way.

Don't you know that it's worth every treasure on earth
To be Blowhard Pete!
For as dumb as you are, it's much better by far
To be Blowhard Pete!

And if you should survive to a hundred and five,
Look at all you derive when you want to connive!
And here is what's so neat, you got to lie! Cheat!
'Cause you are the nar-ci-ssis-tic Blow-hard Pete!

VERSE
I had a friend called Larken Rose
He used to argue about 861
He thought he was the smartest man around
But I found out last Monday
They locked him up on Sunday
They've got him in the jailhouse way downtown

CHORUS #1
He's in the jailhouse now
The jailhouse now
I warned him once or twice
Quit talking federal zone and chop the mullet
He's in the jailhouse now

VERSE
Well, he kept saying that taxes weren't due
Unless you lived in Puerto Rico too
He made a bunch of disks, but that didn't do the trick
So now he's down in jail
Nobody to go his bail
The judge done said that he refused a fine

CHORUS #2
He's in the jailhouse now
The jailhouse now
I warned him once or twice
You'd better start paying your taxes and chop that mullet
He's in the jailhouse now

(YODEL)

VERSE
Well, I went in business myself
With my best gal Doreen
Told her I was the swellest man around
I wrote a book about my ode
Called it Cracking the Code
Put Truth Warriors in every town

CHORUS #3
We're in the jailhouse now
In the jailhouse now
I tried to talk the judge into it
But the judge simple didn't believe it
We're in the jailhouse now
(YODEL OUT)

Petey was a Blowhard
Wasn't a good friend of mine
I never understood a single word he said
But I always listened to his whine
And he always had some mighty fine whine

Singing
Code to the world
All the boys and girls, now
Code to the fishes in the deep blue sea
Code to you and me

If I were on the Court
I wouldn't have a beef
I'd throw away the statutes and the precedense
And grant that relief

You know, someone said that the world's a stage
and each must play a part.
Fate had the CtCers playing your acolytes with all their heart.
Act One was when you wrote Cracking the Code.
The CtCers fell hard for you.
You read your lines so cleverly and never missed a cue.
Then came Act Two. Your ego changed and you acted strange
and why, we will never know.
Petey, you lied to us about the income tax
and the CtCers lacked the will to doubt you.
But they'd rather go on hearing your lies
than live without you.
Now, you are in jail, and your followers wail
because you're no longer around.
And if the law won't set you free
They'll have to find another TD guru to follow around.

Is your heart filled with pain,
'cause you're in jail again?
Tell me, Pete, are you locked up tonight?

Yes, but you see, in this area I can be bribed. Money, jewelery, drinks--I'm not kidding about them doing anything to make me stop.
