Bad, bad stuff. In my part of Texas, formerly a hotbed of militia activity, I see no support for this kind of thing, and I hang out with plenty of rednecks. But the cynicism about government is ubiquitous, right, left and center. The Gulf oil spill is just adding to an overall feeling of despair. I'm pessimistic and cynical by nature but I've never been so negative on the future of the United States.

What's killing the economy is uncertainty and Washington is doing nothing to address it.

Ok, now i'm confused. The Okla bombing was a militia action against the feds-- do these state officials now approve of it, or do they merely think it was premature? The issue was raised in the article but no one gave a definite answer.
