This reminds me of a Mighty Mouse episode from around 1980 in which Mighty Mouse snorts a crushed flower, which gives him enhanced powers. Rev. Donald Wildmon, of the American Family Association (so-called), whined loud and long about how the makers of this new version of an old cartoon were thus promoting cocaine use. Rev. Wildmon said that he had consulted with an attorney, who had confirmed that the substance in question was indeed cocaine.

Basic logical fallacies aside, I am trying to picture how it must have been for Rev. Wildmon to go around promoting this silliness, so wrapped up in his certainty that he was correct, and proving that he had no clue as to just how idiotic he came off to people outside his AFA daisy chain.

Speaking of transparency, I wonder if Dr. Dino has posted a list of those 40 lawyers, their biographies, and their testimony about what they looked at and how it supported the alleged conclusion that Dr. Dino was "not guilty"?

I wonder if one of them is Jerold W. Barringer, his current mouthpiece before the U.S. Tax Court in for his personal income tax case which is pending trial!

Seriously speaking, some may be having trouble contacting him because they address their correspondence to Dr. Hovind!

The number 40 does appear often in the Bible, and may have some cultural or mystical significance to both the authors of the Bible and Hovind (assuming he actually knows anything about the Bible).

For example, the great flood (that Noah survived in the ark) was the result of rain for forty days and forty nights. Moses and the Israelites spend 40 years in the desert after leaving Egypt and before arriving at the promised land. Jesus spent 40 days in the wilderness after his baptism by John the Baptist.

Thanks, that was kind of where I was heading and didn't quite want to go there, but that was what occurred to me when I read that.

Although I am more inclined to believe that he just pulled a number out of the air that sounded good to bolster his story, just like he has with all his other arguments and excuses, it suited his needs at the time.
