I'm truly shocked by this.

I'm not trying to be a smart arse or anything, but should that photo have been reproduced on here ??

linky.
He's obviously been promoted since then. He's now a consultant in legal forensics. I'll edit in a link later when I can find it, an amusing video worth a watch.

That's just being vindictive. Mark's an ok guy but he's a bit daft putting that picture up. Might think he's being a trooper but he could soon be added to the Stupid 6 list if he gets caught taking pictures in there.

Fully agree, hence my shock at him taking happy snaps in Court, he has no time for Freeman. Bit disappointing he appears to have got into cohorts with Wesley but i genuinely think the guy is trying to show that the implementations of certain laws is wrong, not the laws themselves.
When I looked up "Ninjas" in Thesaurus.com, it said "Ninja's can't be found" Well played Ninjas, well played. :lol: :lol:

This just gets better, and members of the court as well, instant contempt, where in gods name is he publishing them?
I have seen this same picture repeated a couple of times this morning on facebook pages. It was posted by Mark Gillard (who I thought would have known better).
TUCO said to me:

Can I remind everyone that the eight people involved have been charged and therefore comments relating to them are subject to the "sub judice" rules of England and Wales. So, a quick cut and pate:
Accordingly, any of the following activities could be considered to be contempt:

obtaining or publishing details of jury deliberations;
filming or recording within court buildings;
making payments to witnesses;
publishing information obtained from confidential court documents;
reporting on the defendant's previous convictions;
mounting an organized campaign to influence proceedings;
reporting on court proceedings in breach of a court order or reporting restriction;
breaching an injunction obtained against another party;
anticipating the course of a trial or predicting the outcome; or
revealing the identity of child defendants, witnesses or victims or victims of sexual offences.

However, it is acceptable to publish material as part of a discussion of public affairs or as a contemporary report of the day's legal proceedings.
Note particularly the ones I have highlighted please.

Fully support this, and definitely worth mentioning. However would this site count as reporting? (Genuine question to clarify, I don't have any reason to suspect otherwise).

Worth remembering we don't want to fall foul ourselves.

Although anticipating the course of a trial... surely that could be covered in an open discussion. I understand it's different now that online discussions are much more public than the old conversation down the pub but would it be likely if we did theorise on the trial that we would be in contempt?

Also my meetings just finished in Nottingham and I hear the magistrates area is quite a nice canal fronting area with numerous benches etc where it could be quite nice to take one's lunch....

This is like unwrapping the most awesome Christmas present only to find that not only is it that lovely new bike you wanted but there are extra presents contained within each one bringing just that little bit more joy.

Oh GOODFERS don't ever change.

IANAL but my understanding is that you could discuss what has been said in court, but you shouldn't speculate about what might be brought up.

The loonies are even arguing about the legality of photography in Court.

Guess who has the final say (so far):)
Steven Spy
Nottingham Magistrates is NOT a court. It is an Administrative hearing. For a court to be constitutional it must have a jury of 12 sitting. As per the Magna Carta 1215.

Mark Gillard is opposed to anything fmotl

If it's true he has been arrested he has been very silly
I don't take sides, I read all the facts and then come to my own conclusions
