Personally I've not found that to be true. Neither are worth sweet FA outside of Quatloos.

Will making repeated donations lead to the proposal of getting a title being received sooner than it otherwise would have done?
Well since Longdog and Doublelong are ahead of you, there might not be any length related titles left.

So how about Videocrash Bingewatcher?

We may ask if you're OK with it, but you don't get to choose it.

No, absolutely not. If yo were to contribute, say, £100 to The Chili Dog Retirement irresponsible Actions Fund, PO Box 1864, Gettysburg Pennsylvania, 17325, USA (no checks, cash only wrapped in aluminium foil during shipment please) it would not influence any decision, whatsoever. contributions not tax deductible in the USA

I was thinking more like $125,000 ( paid from my personal lawyer ) but if a peerage can't be bought then I will have to spend it on a hooker.

Only $125,000? I can trump that.

In addition to the Chili Dog Irresponsible Acts Fund, there is also a Root Beer Fund for cars that go entirely too fast an as always, my own 'Hookers and Blow Fund".

Even counting the transportation to London, £125,000 will buy a lot of Hookers and Blow. We could probably host a party for Johny Depp with that kind of coin.

As always, my "Special Insructions for Travelling to the UK"* apply.

If we could have chosen our own titles, I shudder to think of what I would have chosen for myself. "Lord High Executioner of the Illuminati" was one which I recall as coming to mind, before I got my title.

I was more than a little bemused wdhen I got mine. Then I started imagining myself a high falutin' noble at Versailles (the French one, not kentucky, ya rube) I'm pretty sure JJ gave it to me. It was before Webhick was even a member.

As a dyed in the wool socialist and republican I have nothing but contempt for honours like this and would only accept one so as not to give offence to other less deserving recipients.

Alternative version from the pre-Blair era:

The People's flag is palest pink,
It's not as red as you might think.
Let all white collar workers cheer,
A Labour government is here
We'll nationalise things bit by bit,
So nobody will notice it.
And just to prove that we're sincere
We'll sing The Red Flag once a year.
