Sounds like a nasty piece of work to begin with, no wonder they backed out. Any bets as to the car actually being remotely as advertised?

So wait a minute, you must go through with the buy, or he will take you to court, but he, without limitation, reserves the right not to sell. Doesn't seem quite fair to me.

Thats funny!

Sir Robert McAlpine died in 1937.

(He founded a Civil Engineering company that still bears his name.)

I found that and another car from the phone number. How far someone would get in the Royal Courts of Justice with a £1500 claim I'm not sure. But please can we check we are talking about the right person here, all I see is one mobile number so far.

The Ebay listing gives an address in Woking, which I won't post. Also the 'disabled mother' seems like an unlikely coincidence.

Because nothing makes you want to deal with somebody more than them announcing they are a petulant arse-head who won't just sue you he'll sue you in the royal courts of justice even though he wouldn't actually be able to because it's the wrong forum.

And then he says he's not actually going to be bound by the deal but that's different because reasons.

JULIAN: I recommend we try Per verulium ad camphorum actus injuria linctus est.
SANDY: That's your actual Latin.
HORNE: What does it mean?
JULIAN: I dunno - I got it off a bottle of horse rub, but it sounds good, doesn't it?

I wonder, does he reserve the right to keep the money? He sounds the type.

my mother has recently been diagnosed with cancer and the police stole my mothers cancer cure which is thc/cbd oil that I extract personally as we cannot afford the prices in store
Hmmm... A stoner...
One might also want to mention the cause of 80% of pancreatitis cases, but that might be considered uncharitable.

CBD and marijuana is a treatment (mostly for pain and loss of appetite) for cancer and other devastating ailments but not a cure.

Ah yes, 'man on man' that ancient legal principle.

Presumably female persons who refuse to pay for the car get off scot free?

FWIW, so were children, and so would have been a great many, if not all, of the fotl types.
