Yes, Ive called you all squatloos, put your big girl panties on one leg at a time that way you don't get em all up in a bunch.
I'm not crying about the countless times mud and fecal matter has been flung in my direction from your all. Seeing how most of you work for the system, in one way or another, I would figure one of you would know. I am asking everyone on all the forums, so don't get that special warm fuzzy feeling all inside quite yet that ya think I am warming up to you all. Since the VA is over burden, I was unsure if there were somewhere else that one can turn too, to get these guys the help they need.
We disagree on almost everything, obviously, but in this case I commend you for wanting to help.
I will however note that I do NOT "work for the system, in one way or another". Any help I give "the system" is done to protect the innocent, not to help the system. For example, I helped police identify and arrest a dangerous pedophile a few weeks ago, after he commented on my blog that pedophilia is merely a sexual orientation, and that it is completely acceptable for pedophiles to kidnap, rape, and murder a child because it makes the pedophiles "happy".
That wasn't done to help the "the system", and in fact helping "the system" was the furthest thing from my mind. It was done to protect innocent young children from a quickly escalating pedophile who, in the space of only one month, had progressed from seeking child pornography, to seeking graphic child pornography, to seeking IM addresses of young boys with webcams, to saying it's okay for pedophiles to gang together and kidnap, rape and murder an innocent little six-year-old boy.
If that's "working for the system" in your opinion, then so be it. At least I can sleep at night, knowing I did my part to get that monster off the streets. Could you turn your back on that situation, and not help the police identify him before he raped and murdered a child? I should certainly hope not.
That being said, the VA cannot help with wheelchair-accessible ramps for prisoners, veterans or not. You would have to go through the Bureau of Prisons for anything pertaining to prison infrastructure.
In the end, a wheelchair-bound prisoner may have to sue in order to get it done, but I agree that it should be done.
Hope that helps.
