An elderly aunt? A kindly neighbor?
Dean is laboring under the illusion that the courts will at the last minute lose jurisdiction and that simultaneously he will be able to bring a suit against. . .well, everybody. . .and subsequently collect his fees.
And freemen talk about make believe law. This is the biggest fairy tale I've heard since folks talked about Alaska getting an ABA team.
I don't how it works in Canada. I suspect it isn't that different from any other western democracy in that the convicted one has to appeal the conviction to get it overturned and there has to be some grounds for the appeal before the perp is granted a hearing.
One can't just jump up at sentencing, unilaterally declare the court to be without jurisdiction and then pretend you're about to win a civil suit against the government.
I suppose it's possible Pigpot is so mistaken as to believe that this kind of magical win is possible.
. . . .and now starting at center for your Alaska Pipeliners. . .
